Ok but this guy is a saint.
We hear about all the partying and stuff but in 2008, one of the soldiers in his battalion was being threatened by 6 other soldiers from another outfit for being openly gay. The soldier escaped and went back to duty when Harry saw him and demanded to know what happened and then was like “Right well I’m going to sort this out” and full on stomped over to the guys and threw a fit at them and solved the problem and those guys never bothered the soldier again and he did it all without violence.

How come strong women can’t fall in love? how come having a love interest is such a TERRIBLE thing? How many movies with male heroes have girlfriends huh?
Yeah thought so.
Because not every strong woman wants to fall in love. I’m sorry but I’d love to see another character like Merida who doesn’t have a love interest. I’d like to see someone like myself, in that regards, in a Disney cartoon. As much as I ship characters, I personally do not want a relationship. I’m pretty damn content being single. I’d love for one more heroine to also be content with being single. Every single female character in Disney has a love interest besides Merida. Is having 2 female leads without love interests really going to kill someone?
yeah. It’s not about female heroes being in love being “bad”, it’s about that usually being the only portrayal. Like, Merida should not be that surprising (I mean, in an ideal world, she wouldn’t be. She’s surprising because it’s so uncommon). And I think it’s kind of silly to act like there is some cultural message that you have to be a single woman to be a hero, because as lipsredasroses points out, the grand majority of female heroines are not constructed that way. Both sides should be seen in media

So, this started as something that I was writing mainly for the sake of getting it out of my head, but I thought it deserved to be in visual form, and it turned into this comic type thing (waaay longer than I expected it to be, too). Clearly it’s intensely personal and different from anything I usually make or post, but I wanted to get it out there. It’s my own experience, of course, but I wrote in in plural form for a good reason: this could be anyone.

Don’t wait for someone else to tell you that you’re beautiful to believe it. Fucking tell yourself. Do things because you want to, wear makeup if it makes you happy, wear whatever the fuck you want simply because you want to, indulge, and destroy anyone who tells you otherwise.
