You must see this! The Black Venus Project

“I’ll never forget the day Marilyn and I were walking around New York City, just having a stroll on a nice day. She loved New York because no one bothered her there like they did in Hollywood, she could put on her plain-jane clothes and no one would notice her. She loved that. So as we we’re walking down Broadway, she turns to me and says ‘Do you want to see me become her?’ I didn’t know what she meant but I just said ‘Yes’- and then I saw it. I don’t know how to explain what she did because it was so very subtle, but she turned something on within herself that was almost like magic. And suddenly cars were slowing and people were turning their heads and stopping to stare. They were recognizing that this was Marilyn Monroe as if she pulled off a mask or something, even though a second ago nobody noticed her. I had never seen anything like it before.” - Amy Greene, wife of Marilyn’s personal photographer Milton Greene

XtinaFeels #17/ She doesn’t play the curvy vs skinny game.

She’s a woman for women. She won’t trash other body types to make herself/others feel more beautiful or superior. I love this about her.

Very cool that she makes the point CLEAR: All women are beautiful!

"The question why I would LET Willow cut her hair. First the LET must be challenged. This is a world where women, girls are constantly reminded that they don’t belong to themselves; that their bodies are not their own, nor their power or self determination. I made a promise to endow my little girl with the power to always know that her body, spirit and her mind are HER domain. Willow cut her hair because her beauty, her value, her worth is not measured by the length of her hair. It’s also a statement that claims that even little girls have the RIGHT to own themselves and should not be a slave to even their mother’s deepest insecurities, hopes and desires. Even little girls should not be a slave to the preconceived ideas of what a culture believes a little girl should be."

i just thought this needed to be pointed out to the tumblr community.

these are all photoshopped by enrico francis

it needs to stop.

Dear Enrico Francis Photoshop extrordinare,

STOP FUCKIN PHOTOSHOPPING BEAUTIFUL WOMEN AND MANIPULATING THEIR BODIES AND FACES INTO UNNATURAL BARBIE LOOK-A-LIKES.

1. youre not very good at it. the manipulations you make are so fucking freakish that all i have to do is glance at your photos and know that its not real.

2. the natural beauty of these women is so profound that the fact that you feel the need to photoshop them is fucking INSANE.

3. we do not need another fucking shit putting these unrealistic expectations of women (and men, cause you shop them too) into the world. its not right. you know its not, i know its not and tumblr knows.

So Enrico, I beg you please give it a rest. be a good fucking human being and stop. learn to be a true artist and enhance the beauty youre working with as opposed to completely warping it.

and if you dont i will continue to publish your shitty photoshop all over this fucking website.

This is disgusting.

rihanna’s face looks so much better before she was edited what the fuck

gods they even took away the strap on her dress

I see your ass lightening everyone’s skin, fucker.. I SEE YOU..

WHAT THE FUCK

Did anyone else notice that the random woman in the background of the Selena Gomez picture had her arm flab ‘shopped out, but the overweight guy on the left is untouched?

Being fat is okay, but only if you’re a guy.

Not trying to defend the photoshopper but he did it because her arm flab was showing. If the fat guy was showing any skin, pretty sure the photoshopper would photoshop it out.

I disagree. He could have photoshopped the guys gut and yet he didn’t. His page is just a photoshop nightmare omfg

That’s crazy. The thing is, the after pictures just don’t look realistic at all if you think about it.

Everyone remember this. Always.

Not to mention he’s even changed their NOSES in every single goddamn picture as well. All of this = DISGUSTING

Oh god….I want.

I know there is all this shit about “natural beauty” now, and how that’s so much better than a ton of makeup, heels and all that other shit. But I love artifice. I love creating an image of myself that I feel is beautiful. I’ve always wanted a corset. I’ve always wanted to do waist training. Laced tightly into a corset, my breasts spilling out of the top, my ass and hips lush and full. Dangerous hourglass curves, baby.  UNF! Is it wrong that I’m getting aroused thinking about myself in a steel boned, Victorian era corset? :p

See everyone? This comment above is EXACTLY why we should all dress to please ourselves. The confidence is what makes you sexy, not being a size 0 or whatever other ideal society puts on pedestals.

■ you can choose what you find beautiful
■ and that’s awesome
■ feminism

Natural beauty is not better or more beautiful or any of that bullshit; it’s different. It’s a choice, and it’s not better than yours! Some people may “prefer” it, but they’re not you, so they don’t get to decide how you should dress!

“That seems sort of harmless but then it kind of gets a little darker and sort of accuses these young pop artists of being part of this cycle where girls read magazines, feel terrible about themselves ‘cause its says “you should be skinnier, you should be prettier”. They feel terrible, and then these pop stars tell them that they’re perfect and that they’re beautiful and they buy the songs and then the popstar’s on the cover of the magazine so they buy a magazine again and it’s sort of this vicious cycle and I sort of implied he’s working for Satan or whatever.”
