I’m Not a Joke is a campaign spreading awareness for the LGBTI community through art and design, created by Daniel Arzola (@Arzola_d) for the school of Visual Arts Rafael Monasterios in light of the recent violent acts against the sexually diverse community in Venezuela. It initially seeks to expand in the online community. If you’d like to share your opinion please do so via twitter using the hashtag #ImNotaJoke. Like our page on Facebook and share our designs to support our cause!

Reblogged purely to make Amanda smile.
This is the best thing that was ever made so just turn off the planet now because we can all go home. Thank you, it’s been a great show.
To be an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., you must be:
1. Swift as a coursing river.
2. With all the force of a great typhoon.
3. With all the strength of a raging fire.
4. Mysterious as the dark side of the moon.
They cast Ming Na Wen in this show, this crossover had to happen. I’d love to see BD Wong in this show as well. You know, just sayin’ >.>
5. Don’t touch Lola.
“So my amazing daughter, Emma, turned 5 last month, and I had been searching everywhere for new-creative inspiration for her 5yr pictures. I noticed quite a pattern of so many young girls dressing up as beautiful Disney Princesses, no matter where I looked 95% of the “ideas” were the “How to’s” of how to dress your little girl like a Disney Princess…We chose 5 women (five amazing and strong women), as it was her 5th birthday but there are thousands of unbelievable women (and girls) who have beat the odds and fought (and still fight) for their equal rights all over the world”
- Jaime Moore, Not Just a GirlThis is awesome!
So, can I just say that some my favorite parts of Paper Mario (N64) are when you control Princess Peach, as you sneak around your invaded castle. At one point you find a magic chest that lets you send items and such to Mario.
I’d really like to play a game that takes that concept farther - where a full 50% of the action follows the Distressed Damsel. The hero and heroine send aid back and forth to each other. (Items, information, allies, orbital bombardment - whatever works.)
(Of course, you could mix around the gender roles as well, but I think that would take it too far from the format it’s subverting. Having a “Damsel in non-distress” is cool; having a “non-damsel in non-distress” almost defeats the purpose.)
Aunt May stops burglars in her house by dressing as Spider-Man and putting thumb tacks on chairs and dropping flour bags on their heads. She is The Amazing Spider-Ma’am!
