Superhero Dad by Giulia Pex
Father’s Day is coming up and while some need to work on their dad game, others are consistently heroic in nature, no matter how mundane their every day or nighttime activities are. I’ve never seen my dad punch a robber in the face, but he does have a magnificent beard and that’s enough to scare off most evildoers. Giulia feels the same way about her progenitor, adding a little superhero-flare to his pictures.

THE REAL LIFE MODELS BY FLORA BORSI
Photographer, Graphic Designer Flora Borsi (facebook | behance) - “Nowadays almost every photographer use graphics software to complete the picture, like many painters used ‘original version’ in the past.
Some artists use pure imagination to paint their artworks, others may prefer to create art by using a real life model as reference for the anatomy.
What if these abstract models were real people?”

There’s this myth that designers aspire to be artists. No — designers aspire to be really great designers.
MoMA’s Paola Antonelli on the evolving definition of design, why she brought Pac-Man to the museum, and the dissolution of the artificial divide between “high” and “low” culture.
Antonelli’s most recent MoMA show, Talk to Me: Design and the Communication between People and Objects, speaks powerfully to that evolving definition.
